When you reach the age of forty and are nearing the menopausal stage, performing regular exercise can be beneficial to you. Having a regular exercise regimen when you reach this age can benefit in you in several ways such as helping you overcome stress and fatigue, reduce the risks of having diseases associated with aging, and minimize hot flashes and mood swings as symptoms of menopause.</p>

<p>Walking is a simple yet a very effective exercise that you make use. Taking regular walks can help in strengthening your heart. To enhance this exercise, you can try walking at a slightly faster pace at certain parts of your walking regimen. Aside from that, you can also try walking in inclines or add some weights in your feet during walking. Added benefits of this is strengthening your leg bones and muscles, and helping you maintain an ideal weight.</p>
<p>Doing a little of weight training is also valuable. Carrying dumbbells in three to four repetitions of fifteen counts each is sufficient in toning your arms and strengthening your biceps and triceps. It will also promote upper body strength and a healthier bone system.</p>
<p>After every exercise, the release of endorphins allows the relaxation of the body and the mind. This helps in achieving an overall sense of well-being and fitness. It can also help in allowing you to rest well even on stressed and tiring days. Thus, regular exercise is very effective in battling certain medical problems when you reach forty.</p>

When you get older, making sure that you have consumed and stocked up enough calcium in your bones will be very effective in preventing osteoporosis and other bone conditions from occurring.</p>

Yet, proper proportion of dairy products in your diet should be observed since these food products are also high in fat which is not good for the body.</p>
<p>For cases where intake of dairy products is highly improbable due to certain conditions such as lactose intolerance or due to personal choice such as being vegetarian, calcium can still be taken through food supplements.
